Sawadee ka! Let’s Go to Thailand ✈

Let’s Go Tours visited Thailand and we want to share everything that we have learnt.

Thailand is a small country in Southeast Asia, which is known for its warm people, hot weather, delicious food, great shopping, safety, and respectful culture.

It is the first thing you notice upon landing, people’s warm smile accompanied by their Wai greeting. Their traditional Wai greeting consists of a slight bow, with the palms pressed together in a prayer-like fashion.

The second thing you notice on your way out of the airport is the impressive architecture and smart infrastructure of the city. Yes, Bangkok has its traffic like any other city, but the elevated roads alleviate the heavy traffic and make the city look even cooler.

Speaking of cool cityscape…

Bangkok is known for its grand shopping districts, where you can find a variety of luxury brands, including quality knockoffs. In fact, it is a popular destination amongst Asian tourists for that very reason.

In Bangkok we had the opportunity to visit Wat Pho and Wat Arun Temples. In Wat Pho Temple we saw the colossal Reclining Buddha and Chedis of the Kings. While the Wat Arun Temple impressed everyone with its traditional architecture and colorful porcelain decoration.

Moreover, we visited the Floating Market, and the infamous Railway Market.

What is a floating market you may ask?! A Floating Market is literally what it sounds like. A market floating along the 32km long Damnoen Saduak Canal. This market is full of eager sellers ready to bargain their products away and sell them off at the best price.

Similarly, a Railway market is market built on top of a Railway. Imagine small shops along each side of the railway! You can find food, drinks, creations of art, and a plethora of small souvenirs.

After a few days we took an internal flight from Bangkok to Phuket.

Where we experienced the relaxing island life. We visited the colorful Phuket Old Tow and the Phi Phi Islands. We used a speedboat to travel to and between the Phi Phi islands. First, we got to the world-famous Maya Bay (featured in the movie “The Beach” starring “Leonardo Dicaprio”). Then, we headed to Phi Phi Lay precisely at Pileh Lagoon and enjoyed swimming in this amazing natural pool, surrounded by cliff formations, otherwise known as the “Emerald Lagoon”. Later, we sailed along the “Viking Cave” before making another stop at “Monkey Beach” where you could again enjoy swimming and even saw some wild monkeys on the beach.

To conclude, our little adventure gave us the opportunity to experience the best of both worlds. We witnessed mesmerizing cities, breathtaking nature and met some amazing people along the way. Thailand is a country that welcomes and celebrates ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity. It’s worth visiting at least once in your lifetime.
