Sri Lanka, The "Teardrop of Asia", the "Blessed Island", the " gem of the Indian Ocean, is an island located southeast of India that until 1972 was called Ceylon. This blessed island is a mysterious, enchanting destination that fascinates every traveler. A land of unparalleled beauty with dense tropical vegetation. The national parks, the tea and spice plantations, the beaches with the coconut trees, the imposing temples, the myths, the traditions of thousands of years, the flavors, the amazing food and above all the smiling, kind and hospitable inhabitants, make up a heavenly place!
Sri Lanka is a virgin destination for discovery and a journey where traditions of thousands of years will take you to another dimension.

Weather conditions
The destination is ideal for all periods of the year with stable temperatures and perfect sea. Specifically, from May to August the southwestern side of Sri Lanka gives tropical rains, while the dry season is from December to March.
In October and November tropical rains may occur in various parts of the Inland of the island. Also, Colombo and low-lying areas have a medium temperature of 27°C.

Day 1: Larnaca - Colombo

Gathering at Larnaca airport and flight to Colombo via stopover.

Day 2: Colombo - Negombo

A warm welcome awaits you in the arrivals lounge of Bandaranaike International Airport, Kaunayake from a traditional welcome group of dancers. Your personal guide will give you a brief update and you will start for Negombo. One of the most important tourist beach resorts of the island. This is one of the strongholds of Sri Lanka's Catholic community and is rightly regarded as The "Little Rome". Settling into the hotel and relaxing. In the afternoon enjoy a panoramic tour of Colombo, a vibrant capital. Modern buildings and imposing skyscrapers dominate the cityscape, alongside Colonial architecture buildings. You will see Buddhist temples and the Jumi ul Alfar Jumma Mosque located side by side with the Dutch Wolfendhal church, Hulfsdorp stadiums. You will take a stroll through the picturesque market of Pettah, a bustling and friendly oriental bazaar. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Colombo - Habanara

After breakfast, you will be driven to Habarana, located in the "Cultural Triangle" of Sri Lanka. In the afternoon you will take a Jeep Safari in Minneriya National Park, a national park in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka. The park is located between Habarana and Polonnarua and is among the UNESCO World Heritage sites. The 8890 hectares of the National Park consist of mixed evergreen areas of forest and scrub and are home to beloved species such as sambar deer, leopards and elephants. However, the central feature of the park is the ancient Minneriya reservoir (built in the 3rd century m.Allah.) Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Sigiriya Rock

Start this morning to climb the famous "rock of Sigiriya," a stunning 250-metre-high stone fortress, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It dates back to the 5th century, and is known as the "fortress-lion". Halfway through, the impressive frescoes with the bare-chested girls, The "Virgins of Sigiriya", painted in earthy colors on plaster illuminate the wall with their wonderful smiles . Two huge feet carved into the wall, The "Lion's Terrace," flank the path to the top. The ruins of the beautiful royal citadel are at the top. Dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Dambulla cave temple - Kandy

Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Kandy. On the way, you will visit the magnificent rock-temple of Dambulla, a UNESCO World Heritage site dating back to the 1st century BC. It is recognized as the largest rock shelter in the world, with 2000 m2 walls and ceilings painted with over 150 Buddha images the largest of which, carved into the Rock, is 14 meters high. Continue your journey to the beautiful holy city of Kandy, The Last capital of the Kings of Ceylon before control of the country fell to the British in 1815. Kandy, the jewel of Central Ceylon is a city full of Legends and traditions. It is surrounded by green hills and in its center is an artificial lake. Here you will visit the shrine of the Buddha's tooth, where thousands of believers flock to make offerings. Your day will end with an impressive performance with local dances where you will discover the various types of dance practiced in Sri Lanka, including the Fire Dance. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic route to the charming destination Nuwara Eliya. Nuwara Eliya, at 1800 m. altitude was the resort for the holidays of the English, a fact that until today leaves indelible marks of colonialism in the atmosphere of the region. The town is surrounded by tea plantations, ideally favoured by altitude, while 20km further south are the Horton Plain Meadows. On the way you will visit the Royal Botanic Gardens of Peradeniya. Walking through their amazingly landscaped grounds you will see gorgeous varieties of flowers . You will then visit a plantation and a tea processing plant. You will learn about the process of making this "noble" decoction, and you will have the opportunity to try some of the rarest varieties. In the afternoon you will devote it to a tour of the city and the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Nuwara Eliya - Yala

In the morning after breakfast you will be driven to Yala, for Yala National Park located in the southeast of Sri Lanka, a rural corner of the island famous for its vast game reserves and cultural heritage. En route to Ella for a short sightseeing tour. Photo stop at Ravana Ella caves and waterfalls. Fit in your hotel near Yala National Park. Accommodation at the hotel and free time. Dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Yala National Park - Galle - Bentota

Very early in the morning you will visit fishbowl National Park for a safari. The fishbowl Park is famous for its large herds and a large number of elephants, leopards, deer, crocodiles, wild buffalo and many other animals. Return to the hotel and leave for the beautiful colonial town of Galle. During our journey we will see the characteristic fishermen of the island, fishing in their traditional way, sitting on stakes – a characteristic image of Sri Lanka, not missing from any photographic alpum. Arrival and tour of Galle, The Fortress of which was constructed by the Portuguese and then expanded by the Dutch. Walking through its streets you will see European architecture join the tropical environment and traditions of South Asia, creating a vibrant atmosphere and discover elements of a heritage that has been preserved for more than 3.5 centuries. We continue to the seaside town of Bentota located on the South Bank of the estuary of the river of the same name, known for its endless sandy beaches. Rest of the day free for relaxing on the beach or in the pool of the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Boat Ride Madu River - Tutrle Hutchery - Bentona

After breakfast, you will drive towards Balapitiya to enjoy a boat ride on the beautiful Madu River. You will visit a turtle hatchery. You will then return to the hotel to spend the rest of your day at leisure. The hotel is located by the sea, where you can enjoy a quiet walk or visit the city center for your last shopping. Dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Bentona - Colombo Airport

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day at your disposal for relaxation and rest at the hotel. You can enjoy the amenities provided by your hotel.  Late in the evening we prepare for departure to Colombo airport for the return flight to Larnaca via stopover.
