DAY 1: LARNACA – SEOUL

Departure from Larnaca airport for Seoul via stopover

DAY 2: SEOUL

Arrival at Seoul and meet with our English speaking representative. Transfer to hotel and free day in Seoul.

DAY 3: SEOUL

After breakfast, depart for an all-day exploration of the South Korean capital at Jihachul, the local metro. Visit Gyeongbokgun Palace, this "glowing Palace of happiness" is one of five palaces dating back to the Choson (Joseon) Dynasty and includes the Folklore Museum and its collection of historical artifacts depicting the history of traditional life of the Korean people. Then visit the Jogyesa temple, one of the largest temples in the city and the center of the Jogyejong Buddhist Order, supporting Zen meditation. Try a delicious bibimbap for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, enjoy a walk in the Bukchon area. This quarter, nicknamed the "North Village," with some 900 traditional Korean houses, promises a unique cultural immersion in ancient Korea. Then take a stroll down Insadong Street, which is full of antique shops and art galleries. Early in the evening, discover an amazing entertainment show on stage (Cookin’ Nanta). This nonverbal comedy show is animated by the rhythm of the cooking pot with a combination of Korean traditional and modern. Witness this spectacular performance with a seductive blend of comedy and drama.

DAY 4: SEOUL - GYEONGJU – BUSAN

After breakfast, departure by KTX train (2 hours) to Gyeongju, the spiritual and cultural capital of Korea. A guided tour of the city to what is known as the "museum without walls." This former capital of The Shilla Kingdom was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the year 2000. Visit Bulkugsa temple (UNESCO), built with exceptional architectural techniques, and considered the essence of Silla culture and then Seokguram cave (UNESCO). This cave, built in the 8th century on the slopes of Mount Toham, contains a monumental sea-themed Buddha statue. It is considered a masterpiece of Buddhist art in the Far East. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, a walk in Tumuli park, dotted with 23 tombs of the rulers of The Shilla Kingdom and their families, and a visit to the Tomb of the "Heavenly horse". During the archaeological excavations, many treasures were discovered and are now on display. Then continue visiting the Noseo-dong tombs (ancient tombs shaped like huge mounds somewhat like small hills), before a last stop at the oldest Observatory in the Far East, Cheomseongdae Tower built in 634, where royal astronomers studied Star Movement and predicted eclipses of the sun and Moon. Late afternoon transfer to Busan.

DAY 5: BUSAN – SEOUL

After breakfast, we depart to visit the Cultural Village of Gamcheon, an old quarter located on a hill. Here, homes were built by refugees fleeing the Korean War. Today, it is an artistic village decorated with beautiful murals and sculptures created by the inhabitants. Then take a stroll through the Jagalchi Fish Market and the international market that sells all kinds of goods. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the early afternoon, stop at the United Nations cemetery, unique in the world, in fact managed by the United Nations since 1960. This site pays tribute to the 37,895 fallen UN forces during the Korean War between 1950 and 1953. Late in the afternoon, transfer by KTX train (2 hours and 40 minutes) to Seoul. Transfer to the hotel.
Note: for visiting the United Nations Memorial, please observe the following dress code: - no tracksuits, no clothes that expose too much of the body, no flip flops or strappy sandals, no clothes designed for physical exercise (hats, masks, gloves)

DAY 6: SEOUL

Free day in Seoul for a relaxing walk or shopping

DAY 7 - 8: SEOUL – LARNACA

Breakfast at the hotel and free time to use it as you wish before your departure for your return flight. Arrival in Larnaca the next day via stopover.
