Cape Town
When travellers think of South Africa, one of the first images that comes to mind is the mighty towering cliff of Table Mountain, overlooking the city of Cape Town. With a history of its own, Cape Town is an absolute must on any itinerary to South Africa. Discover the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, home to world-class shopping, bustling restaurants, and bars, all situated around the working harbour. Take a cable car to the top of Table Mountain, discover Cape Town’s dark past at the District Six Museum & on Robben Island, visit the penguin colony at Simonstown or travel out to Cape Point at the tip of the Cape Peninsula. For the gardener, the Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden offers a unique insight into the biodiversity of the region. Cape Town is also a foodie’s paradise with some of the world’s best restaurants offering a host of different cuisines.
The Cape Winelands offers spectacular towering mountains, green leafy vines, thatched-roofed white Cape Dutch houses, and superb food. Take a day tour, self-drive or spend a couple of days.
