EASTER CRUISE - FREE FLIGHTS - Western Mediterranean - Costa Pacifica

Package No: SP3055
Departure: 14 April 2020

Fly & Cruise to the Western Mediterranean with the megaship Costa Pacifica. Sail with Costa Cruise and experience the Italian hospitality.
Costa Pacifica is a Guinness Book of Records’ record holder because it was christened in Genoa the same day as its sister ship, the Costa Luminosa. Its motto is “the sea in music”: both the themes onboard and the names of the decks are all related to the world of music. Each room is decorated with images of composers, operas and musical instruments, whilst the interior design of the ship was designed by an innovative artist in a harmonious blend of different styles. Music is played throughout the ship during the day and particular care was taken aboard to provide flawless sound quality, Maestro Mauro Pagani has also written thirty pieces exclusively for this cruise ship. When you’re tired of the music, visit the external decks to listen to the melody created by the lapping of the waves.
Whatever your dream holiday, a Costa Cruise offers just exactly what you are looking for. From sumptuous cuisine to endless daytime activities and night time entertainment, you have it all. Just come on Board!
Life on Board On board
Costa Pacifica, everything amazes, transports and entertains you. The excitement never ends: inspired by music, its happy and colourful environments are each based on a different symphony.

Catania, like Sicily, is rich in monuments, ancient traditions and sumptuous food, which it shares generously with the rest of the world.
The port of Catania is located about 300 metres from the historic city centre. We suggest that you visit the Piazza del Duomo, symbol of the city. If you cross Via Crociferi, one of the most famous streets of the city, you can get to Palazzo Biscari, one of the most impressive and majestic buildings in the whole of Sicily. Finally, you can see Mount Etna looking north, with its famous lava flows.

Not to be missed: Etna, Piazza del Duomo and The Palazzo degli Elefanti

Day 3: Civitavecchia, Rome

The ship arrives at Civitavecchia port at 08:00 and departs at 19:00

Civitavecchia, a former Etruscan port, is the seaport for Rome. And what about it? Everything here reflects the glorious power of a people who ruled the world.
Located in cove, protected to the north by Mignone and south by the Marangone, the Civitavecchia port was built on the Tyrrhenian coast in Etruscan times and still preserves traces of this history. In particular, the Michelangelo fort and the old town with its 9th-century walls bear witness to the splendour of a medieval past. We have to take advantage of this stop to visit Rome, the grandiose capital with its world-famous monuments: the Forum, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, Trajan's column, St Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Piazza Venezia, the Spanish Steps and so much more.

Not to be missed: The majestic Cathedral of St Francis of Assisi, The Fort Michelangelo and The Rocca, an impenetrable fortress

Day 4: Genoa, Italy

The ship arrives at Genoa port at 08:00 and departs at 17:00

Take a good look at Genoa, because, trust us, those who see Genoa fall in love with her.
The port of Genoa is located in Liguria, northwest of Italy, and offers several options for tourists who want to visit the city. Suspended between heaven and earth, Genoa reveals all its secrets. During the stop take a stroll in the old town where you can go shopping and enjoy the culinary highlights of the city. Walk along Via Garibaldi with its many palaces and walk the streets at one time crossed by one of the most famous figures of the city: Christopher Columbus:

Not to be missed: Piazza Raffaele de Ferrari, Visit to the palazzi dei Rolli and the Duomo di Genova

Day 5: Barcelona, Spain

The ship arrives at Barcelona port at 13:30 and departs at 21:00

Among the "ramblas" you will discover great food and beer, but we are always under the watchful eye of Gaudi, who captured and expressed the soul of Barcelona in his architecture.
The city is home to an innovative contemporary art museum, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, and Camp Nou. Also, after visiting these popular destinations, you can discover the Catalan culture. During our stop in Barcelona,  take a walk down La Rambla before visiting the Picasso Museum. In the city, you can see memorable architecture everywhere. Before leaving pay a visit to the neighborhood in the port of Barcelona. Completely renovated for the Olympic Games in 1992, it has become a place filled with bars, clubs, and restaurants.

Not to be missed: Helicopter ride, The masterpieces of Gaudí and the Sightseeing tour of Barcelona and Camp Nou stadium

Day 6: Mallorca, Spain

The ship arrives at Mallorca port at 08:00 and departs at 18:00

Imagine an island with turquoise blue waters, secret coves, soft golden sands, lush green foliage, rugged mountains, picturesque villages and a vibrant capital city. Now drop that island in the sea only a couple of hours flight from most European cities... that's Mallorca (also known as Majorca) in a nutshell. The island and its capital, Palma, are overflowing with character while its beaches are famous all around the world, making it one of the most sought-after summer destinations.
Generously furnished with luxury hotels and villas, Mallorca is also one of the world's sailing hotspots. The locally produced foodie delights and wines, delicious traditional cuisine and first-class restaurants with Michelin stars have only added to its appeal. But that's not all, an island steeped in history, Mallorca boasts charming villages, historic sights, an artisan and cultural scene and popular events taking place throughout the year.
If relaxing is your thing, grab a sun lounger at a beach club, hop on a boat trip or stroll through the old streets in Palma for some leisurely shopping. Just don't expect to relax for too long as there are theme and water parks for the whole family to enjoy, as well as watersports, thousands of things to do and all the serious walking and cycling you could care to do on holiday. And, if you've not overdone the daytime, there's always the bustling nightlife to finish you off.
