Christmas / New Year in Vienna

Day 1: Larnaca - Vienna

Check in at Larnaca airport and depart to Vienna. Upon arrival, our representatives will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel. For those interested, there is a chance to take a  late night stroll in the beautifully decorated  city. Overnight.

Day 2: Vienna - City Tour

After breakfast, we will embark on a panoramic tour of the Christmas events in Vienna. The beautifully decorated streets will be filled with joyful bands playing music, and horse-drawn carriages adorned with blankets, creating a unique festive atmosphere. Our tour will include visits to iconic landmarks such as the Vienna State Opera, the town hall, the museums of Natural History and Fine Arts, the Palatine Theater, the University, the Parliament with its ancient Greek facade, the impressive Votivkirche, the Hofburg Palace, and the Cathedral of Hofburg St. Stephan. The tour will conclude with a visit to  outside area of Schönbrunn Palace. The inside area is not included in the city tour.

Day 3: Vienna Free Day - Salzburg Full Day Tour Optional

After breakfast, you have a free day to spend as you please. Take leisurely walks, indulge in shopping, savor coffee at a café, or dine at a local restaurant. Explore museums or consider a visit to the zoo if you're traveling with children. We recommend a visit to the Museum of Natural History, a significant historical museum in Europe boasting over 30 million exhibits, including meteorites and dinosaur bones that captivate visitors. Established in 1748 by Francis Stephanos of Lorraine, the museum's collection spans over 250 years, housed in a building designed specifically for these displays. In the evening, enjoy a stroll in the Ring area amidst illuminated mansions, or opt for dinner at the hotel or at the rotating Donauturm tower, where you can relish the night view of Vienna. 

The optional tour include the legendary Salzburg, known as the "Salt Castle" due to the significant role mineral salt has played in the region's history. Our visit to the "Homeland of Melody" and Mozart's birthplace will encompass the entire monumental core of the city, including the famous Getreidegasse, Catholic churches renowned for their beauty, the Salzach river with its elegant bridges, the castle, catacombs, the traditional watermill with its oven, hegemonic and episcopal residences, buildings housing musical institutions, tributes to the Austrian conductor Herbert von Karajan (1908-1989), as well as squares adorned with stalls and bazaars. Overnight in Vienna. 

Day 4: Vienna - Mayerling Forest Optional

Breakfast. Enjoy your free day. Whether you choose to relax in the warmth of your hotel or explore the Prater Theme Park, filled with history and charm, your day is sure to be filled with wonderful experiences. Don't miss out on the delicious chocolate sweets, especially the famous zacher cake and apple or sour cherry strudels, paired perfectly with Viennese chocolate or fragrant coffee. For dinner, a traditional Viennese tavern in Grinzing promises a taste of local flavors and a journey through time. If you opt for an excursion to the Viennese Forests, you'll have the opportunity to explore historical sites like the Hapsburgs' hunting lodge in Meyerling and the picturesque town of Baden with its hot springs. Enjoy your day and make the most of your time in Vienna! 

Another option is to explore the Danube Valley! Starting with a walk through the historic center of Krems and enjoying some free time there sounds delightful. The riverboat cruise to Spitz must offer some stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. Visiting Melk Abbey, with its rich history and impressive architecture, will surely be a memorable experience. Have a fantastic time on your journey through these picturesque locations!

Day 5: Vienna - Larnaca

Breakfast. Pick up from the hotel and  transfer to the Airport for the return flight.
