We are in Valencia, and nobody can miss the chance to taste a real paella and then take a stroll in the beautiful city centre.
The port of Valencia is the fifth busiest in Europe. Observing the medieval architecture and futuristic buildings of the city, history buffs won’t have any problem in discerning Baroque, Gothic and Moorish influences along the city streets. Don't forget to visit the popular quarters: Mingle with the locals in Ruzafa at the market, to sample so many delights. Bars, restaurants and outdoor cafes will offer you the Mediterranean flavours of the area.

Day 6: Arrecife, Canary Islands

The port of Lanzarote is located in the capital Arrecife and is the island’s most important outlet to the sea. Don’t miss the castle of San Jose before relaxing on Reducto beach.

The port of Arrecife Lanzarote is one of the mainstays in the development of the city and the historical and cultural sights of the region will make your stay unforgettable. Take the time to visit the city as you should! Start at the International Museum of Contemporary Art, with numerous works of great fame and housed in the Castle of San José, a must for your visit, along with the San Gabriel Fort. Head towards Reducto beach to relax, lulled by the lapping waves.

Day 7: St Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Island

The port of Santa Cruz de Tenerife is the city’s access to the sea and characterized by a mix of cultures that have managed to coexist in harmony with each other.
Santa Cruz is a cosmopolitan city of different influences and varied trends, as you can see from the mix of historic buildings and modern architecture. After leaving the port, start your tour with a visit of the Auditorio de Tenerife and the “Circulo de Amistad." Then take a visit to the Nuestra Señora de África market, where you will find crafts and artisanal products made from natural ingredients, as well as the famous wine of the region. Finally, check out the local cuisine made with potatoes, chilies and exotic spices.

Day 8: Funchal, Madeira

Funchal is the capital of the Madeira archipelago in Portugal. On a cruise with Costa you will dock at its unique port, formed from a natural bay that protects ships.

It owes its name to the fennel plants found in the surrounding areas. The port of Funchal is the International Maritime Station of Madeira. The city is nestled in the mountains and has an atmosphere of tranquillity. Take advantage of the park for a brief visit to the Monte Palace tropical garden, a real paradise on Earth where vegetation and stone decorations create a wonderful harmony. If you want to get to know the locals and buy souvenirs, take a hike to the city market, the Mercado dos Lavradores, and finally, take the cable car to enjoy the amazing view of the city.

Day 9: At sea

Day 10: Lisbon, Portugal

The ship arrives at Lisbon port at 07:00 and departs at 15:00

Visit Lisbon and explore one of the world’s most ancient cities and the second oldest European capital after Athens. It’s yet to go global and its white-domed cathedrals and cobbled alleyways make it quintessentially Portuguese. As the only capital city on the Atlantic coast, Lisbon is also remarkably inexpensive: food, drink and entertainment all offer exceptional value for money.

Day 11: Cadiz, Spain

The ship arrives at Cadiz port at 10:00 and departs at 20:00

Travel through the streets of the port, where Christopher Columbus left for America, and visit this beautiful town and its surroundings.
Make a stop in Cadiz, an Andalusian town that gives its name to the region it is capital of and the gulf on whose heights it stands proud. Its buildings are characterised by influences, in chronological order, of the Carthaginians, Romans, Moors and the Christians. The port of Cadiz was the departure point of the expedition that led to the discovery of America. Here you can admire the charming seafront promenade and the 3 km bridge that crosses the bay. Don't miss the chance to taste "tapas de chorizo" or see a flamenco show.

Day 12: At sea

Day 13: Barcelona, Spain

Τhe ship arrives at Barcelona port at 09:00 and departs at 18:00

Among the "ramblas" you will discover great food and beer, but we are always under the watchful eye of Gaudi, who captured and expressed the soul of Barcelona in his architecture.
The city is home to an innovative contemporary art museum, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, and Camp Nou. Also, after visiting these popular destinations, you can discover the Catalan culture. During our stop in Barcelona,  take a walk down La Rambla before visiting the Picasso Museum. In the city, you can see memorable architecture everywhere. Before leaving pay a visit to the neighborhood in the port of Barcelona. Completely renovated for the Olympic Games in 1992, it has become a place filled with bars, clubs, and restaurants.

Day 14: Marseille, France

The ship arrives at Marseille port at 08:00 and departs at 18:00

A pleasant thing to do is simply sit down at one of the cafes overlooking the port of Marseilles and, sipping a Pastis, observe the landscape and the people who inhabit it.
Also called the "Porpoise City ", Marseille is France’s sunniest town, charming with its gullies where you can swim, its history and culture and restaurants with cosmopolitan cuisine. You cannot leave without having first toured on the “Cours Julien”, the street for shopping. The port of Marseille is perhaps a typical tourist destination, but it deserves to be visited for the ferry that leaves from the Town Hall and the old church, which replaced a Templar building.
