Day 1: Heraklion

The ship Mein Schiff sails from Heraklion port at 22:00.

Day 2: At sea

Day at sea to enjoy the facilities and entertainment onboard the ship Mein Schiff.

Day 3: Limassol

The ship arrives at Limassol port at 07:00 and departs at 19:00.

The popular holiday destination Cyprus enchants its visitors with its wonderful nature! High mountains, lush vegetation and fantastic beaches. The Troodos Mountains, which are almost 2,000 m high., are characterized by idyllic forests, which are ideal for hiking and walking. The beautiful beaches of Cyprus are ideal for swimming, sunbathing and relaxing. But those interested in culture are not neglected! Many historically valuable sites are waiting to be visited. The second largest city of Cyprus, Limassol, is full of activity: while the beach is mainly used for tourist facilities, the city has narrow streets and a traditional market, which attracts many locals in addition to tourists. Excellent restaurants invite you to taste local delicacies. The characteristic handicrafts, which are manufactured and sold in the surrounding villages of Limassol, are an excellent souvenir.

Day 4: Haifa

The ship arrives at Haifa port at 06:30 and departs at 21:00.

Haifa is beautifully set on the slopes of Mount Carmel facing the Mediterranean Sea, likened by some as ‘Israel’s San Francisco’.  Although traditionally a working city, there are a number of great things to do in Haifa that you must cross off your Haifa bucket list, including the Bahai Gardens, German Colony, as well as a number of top museums.

From the top of Mount Carmel, take in the view from the Louis Promenade across the Port of Haifa heading north right across into the Western Galilee. Hop on the Carmelit, Israel’s only subway system which travels up and down the mountain, and at the bottom check out Hof Hacarmel, Haifa’s beaches.

The city’s crown jewel when it comes to tourism is undoubtedly the Bah’ai Gardens which form part of the Bah’ai World Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These beautiful gardens are a place of pilgrimage for members of the Bah’ai faith and are set across terraces sloping down Mount Carmel towards the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. At the bottom of the gardens is Haifa’s German Colony, with its pretty streets of restored templar-era buildings. The main street of the German Colony runs direct from the bottom of the gardens towards the coast and is lined with restaurants and cafes.

Day 5: Ashdod

The ship arrives at Ashdod port at 06:30 and departs at 20:00.

Anyone who sets off directly from here to explore the historic Jerusalem or to make a pilgrimage to Bethlehem will discover exciting things. You can also reach trendy Tel Aviv or the Dead Sea from here. But maybe you will enjoy the breathtaking view of the sea from Mount Givat Yonah before or eat in the lively restaurants on Keshatot Beach. And if you love jewelry and are looking for a suitable souvenir, you will definitely find it in the diamond cutter town of Ashdod.

Day 6: At sea

Day at sea to enjoy the facilities and entertainment onboard the ship Mein Schiff.

Day 7: Rhodes

The ship arrives at Rhodes port at 07.00 and departs at 16.30.

Historically, Rhodes is celebrated for being the home of one of the most remarkable of the seven wonders of the world, the Colossus of Rhodes – while in the current landscape it’s become one of the most sought after locations for those who actively search social media with the #takemethere. Travelers everywhere have Rhodes on their vision boards because of its bountiful beauty, inspired cuisine, historical significance and a little something we just can’t seem to put our finger on.

With a past sprinkled with legends, (Hercules established one of the first ancient settlements on this very land) the modern scene is just as enticing – and you don’t have to be as strong as Hercules to enjoy all it has to offer. Offroading, rappelling and stand-up paddleboarding allow you to dive into the excitement of Rhodes’ past while immersing yourself in the thrills of its abundant landscape. For the more antiquity at heart, an impressive array of churches, mosques and synagogues offer a fascinating culture caper.

Of course no Greek isle is complete without the meat (and vegetables, seafood and libations) which are, simply put – out of this world. Traditional dishes with inspired twists from modern Grecian chefs at new and exciting restaurants blend together with classic taverna’s with a “if it’s not broke, why fix it” mentality to guarantee visitors a taste of the old, a taste of the new – and most importantly, a taste of everything in between.

Day 8: Herakleion
