Costa Cruises is changing its cancellation policy to allow you to book with complete peace of mind and the freedom to choose the right travel period.
If you book before 30 September 2020, you will have up to 48 hours before your departure date to cancel and postpone your holiday to a later date, even to another destination of your choice.

In the event of cancellation, the entire amount reserved for the cruise segment paid to Costa will be converted into a voucher/future cruise credit that you can use for a new cruise, booked within 18 months of the voucher date, departing up to on November 30, 2021 at the latest.
In the event of cancellation/postponement of a new booking confirmed before 30/09/2020, Costa will issue a voucher/future cruise credit of a value equivalent to the total price of the cruise originally booked with Costa. This voucher, issued by Costa Cruises, will be sent to the Travel Agent who submitted the booking and will be issued in the name of the traveler whose name appears on the booking.
The voucher will only be valid for the booking of a cruise mentioned in our programme. Booking must be made by November 30, 2021.
It will only be usable by the named beneficiary/owner and therefore will not be transferred to a third party under any circumstances. Can be combined with catalog offers and other offers valid from Costa Cruises at the time of booking. Only in cases where several cabins have been booked, and subject to the agreement of all adult travellers, will it be possible to split the original voucher into multiple vouchers, one per cabin, in the name of the lead passenger for each cabin.
At the time of issue of the Voucher, Costa Cruises will assign a credit value to the Voucher for the amount shown on that Voucher, equal to the amounts paid to Costa Cruises in respect of the Cruise Portion.
The cruise booking and payment terms between the customer and the travel agent, as well as between the travel agent and Costa Cruises, remain unchanged, and therefore the selection of a new cruise must be made within 18 months of the cancellation date.
In order to protect the traveler from any risk of insolvency on the part of the organizer and/or the seller, the usual provisions as defined in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale and the provisions of the Tourism Code, remain applicable, according to the terms of which the insurance and financial guarantee companies, which are guarantors respectively for the organizer and the retailer, will each provide cover for the traveler within the scope of their respective responsibilities.
NEW TERMS AND CANCELLATION TERMS: HOW DO THEY WORK?
Below you will find a simplified version of the terms and conditions for the use of the voucher, which will be issued for new bookings made from 24 March 2020 to 30 September 2020 in the event that customers subsequently decide to cancel and postpone the cruise their:
RULES AND CONDITIONS
Costa Cruises will issue the voucher (credit) in the name of the main Customer for the booking, for a value equal to the amount actually received by Costa for the cruise segment.
The voucher can only be used at the travel agency where the canceled booking was made.
The voucher will be in the name of the main beneficiary (the name appears on the booking) and cannot be shared between passengers of the same cabin. On request only, it can be split into multiple cabins covered by the same booking (see the instructions provided in the Q&A document for questions and answers).
Voucher is not transferable to a third party.
Voucher will only be valid for confirmed new individual bookings made between 24 March 2020 and 30 September 2020.
These cancellation conditions apply to cruises scheduled to depart between May 2020 and March 2021.
The new cruise booking must be within 18 months of the cancellation date and in any event no later than April 30, 2022.
Coupon is valid for all prices.
The voucher can be combined with other ongoing offers (future cruise voucher, cruise benefits, any other discounts or compensations in kind).
Voucher must be used for a new booking. Upon request, it is possible to split its value between the passengers of different cabins covered by the original booking.
No voucher will be issued for group bookings.
